NORTEC Youth Services
connection and direction for young people
NORTEC Youth Services offer young people in the Tweed Shire, delivery of Federal and State Government funded programs aimed at assisting and guiding young people to make the correct study and career choices for them.
NORTEC Enterprises invest extra funding into these programs to ensure the program delivery is of the highest standard. On average this funding equates to around $40,000 per annum. The extra funding allows young people access to specialised equipment (such as multimedia devices or professional kitchens) and qualified trainers who deliver inspiring and specialised training to course participants.
Currently, NORTEC Youth Services deliver three youth programs to young people in the Northern Rivers or Tweed Shire. These programs are:
- Links to Learning (funded by the NSW Department of Education and Training),
- Youth Pathways (trading as 'Destination North') and
- Connections (trading as 'XCELR8').
